Thanks for your interest in my knives.

Each knife is unique and is hand forged from a piece of a circular sawmill blade, has a brass guard, mule deer antler handle and is sharpened and ready for use. The metal I use has a very high carbon content, which I like, because it will really hold an edge. However, because of the carbon it will rust if not used…when cared for properly these knives will develop a beautiful patina. I just want to mention this because it is not going to be all shiny like many of the store bought knives. My knives are suitable for cutting, skinning, carving etc but if you abuse them (try to hack through a bone, beat on them with a hammer, or pry a paint can lid off) they will chip or break. I gave a blacksmith friend a piece of this metal and he said “that metal has some stuff in it” and he is right it does… it’s what I want in my personal knife and I hope it‘s what you want in yours.
Each knife comes with a handmade sheath. Be sure to let me know if you are left handed, have extra large or small hands... My basic knife, and best seller, is a drop point and has about a 4-5 inch blade (not counting the finger choil) and will be approximately 8-9&1/2 inches overall. The knife I carried in season 2 of Mountain Men has a 4&½” blade and is just over 9” in total length. It takes me 15-20 hours to make one and about 30 dollars worth of materials. Currently I am charging $250.00 for my basic 4-5 inch knife and I add $35.00 per inch more for larger knives. $100.00 for Damascus steel. Shipping and handling is included in the price.
As an artist I strive to make each knife beautiful and I try to remain true to the materials and process I use…so you may see hammer and file marks in your knife. I am happy to make what ever size you request. I can use your antler if you have a special need.
Just remember that these knives are made to use but not to abuse.
